Career Highlights

Inhouse labor and employment counsel for most of 40 year career at four Fortune 200 companies in distinct industries. Most recently was the head of the employment and benefits law function at McKesson Corporation from February, 2010 until January, 2021. In 1995 he was hired as the first employment lawyer at Sun Microsystems, and rose to be VP of Employment Law with a global team of ten attorneys in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Other inhouse roles were at Lockheed Missiles and Space Company in Sunnyvale, California, and at Kaiser Aluminum and Chemical Corporation in Oakland, California. Mentored dozens of law students and junior attorneys at law firms and companies, and spoken on numerous continuing education programs for the ABA, California Bar, DRI, NELC, AELC, and others.

Chair of the Labor and Employment committee of the San Francisco chapter of the Association of Corporate Counsel.
